Oothukadu Kalinga Narthana Perumal Temple
The Kalinga Narthana Temple, or Kalinga Narayana Perumal Temple, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna in Oothukkadu, near Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu. It is known for its depiction of Lord Krishna as a child dancing on the serpent Kaliya and is considered a significant Rahu sthalam. The temple features a well-maintained, recently renovated interior with a beautiful idol of Kalinga Narthana Krishnar.

It is believed that sage Narada prayed for Lord Krishna to remain in this pose to bless devotees.
The temple is considered a Rahu sthalam, believed to mitigate the ill effects of Rahu dasa and Sarpa dosham.
Idol details:
The deity is a 2.5-foot-high idol of Lord Krishna as a five-year-old child.A unique feature is the depiction of Krishna's left foot on the serpent's head without full contact, with a hairline gap between the foot and the hood.His right leg is in the air in a dancing posture.The idol shows the scars on Krishna's leg from his fight with Kaliya.The utsava murthi (festive idol) is particularly noted for its beauty.
